Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With so many math standards to cover, it can be overwhelming for students from time to time throughout the year. I try to incorporate various activities in various forms to introduce, teach, or review engaging concepts. It is really easy to fall into repeated or robotic teaching.

The materials from this project will allow the teacher to engage students in collaborating settings with their peers while learning math concepts using classic games we all grew up playing.

My eighth graders are still kids and love to play, therefore, using classic games such as connect-four, dice rolling, buzzers, tic-tac-toe will help and completely engage and my middle scholars in a fun and exciting learning environment while reviewing math content and concepts.
