Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The cozy corner will encourage student ownership of their learning environment. My goal is to create a flexible space for students to read independently, participate in writing workshops, and explore literacy development materials. Our old rug, chairs, and lights have gotten a lot of use so we are looking for new supplies to refresh this space and provide additional language and literacy materials for new language learners.

My students are all multi-lingual learners newly arrived in the U.S.

Our school is very small and students don't have many comfortable spaces to call their own. In the cozy corner they can read, learn, create, and share with ease!
