My Project

Staying hydrated throughout the day is as important as fueling our brains and bodies with healthy foods. Having reusable water bottles for students would diminish leaving class for a quick drink at the drinking fountain. Having a reusable water bottle also diminishes the purchase of bottled water for daily use.

Reusable water bottles for each student not only provides them with instant hydration in the classroom, but helps our planet by reducing the amount of plastic being purchased.

My students were fascinated with learning about Earth Day! They learned ways to be 'Earth Helpers' every day of the year; not just on April 22nd. Upon learning about the many ways to be kind to Mother Earth, they suggested getting reusable water bottles for both our second grade classes. This is putting their learning into practice!

They will be so excited when this project gets funded.
