Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to start a new initiative to help my third grade students reduce waste, stay healthy, and have a positive impact on our environment. I’m asking for reusable water bottles for all the students in my grade band. These bottles will allow us to take advantage of the new water fountains at our school, which are equipped to refill bottles quickly and easily.

The benefits of reusable water bottles are clear:

Reduce Plastic Waste: We can cut down on single-use plastic bottles that end up in landfills.

Healthier Hydration: Students will have easy access to water throughout the day, helping them stay hydrated and focused.

Less Disruption to Learning: With their own water bottles, students won’t need to leave the classroom as often for water breaks, allowing for more uninterrupted instructional time.

More Convenience: Whether on field trips, during field day, or at recess, having a personal water bottle will ensure that students stay hydrated, especially as temperatures rise.

By providing these water bottles, we will start a trend of sustainability and healthier habits that can last beyond this year. I believe this small change can make a big difference for both our school and the planet. Thank you for considering supporting this initiative!
