My Students

Our students were taught remotely over the past school year and we want to welcome them back in September with an enriching classroom environment. We teach at a Title 1 elementary school in Flushing, New York where many of our students come from low-income families.

We teach a diverse group of students in an Integrated Co-teaching environment, which means that we have both general education and special education students learning together.

We have the privilege of looping with our class next year and that means we are teaching the same students again, but in person! We have established a really strong emotional bond with them and want to show our class that being in 4th grade will be the most memorable year yet!

My Project

We carefully selected materials to make our classroom engaging for our incoming fourth grade students. We taught our students remotely and are eager to teach them in a physical classroom setting this upcoming school year.

For instance, the book bins will make our classroom library more inviting for students by helping us organize our student books.

In addition, the ink for our printer will help us make scaffolds and colored charts for our students. Please help us make this a productive year of learning for our fabulous future fourth graders!
