Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and travel a distance to attend our school. Nearly all of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and all receive free breakfast. Our school is not a neighborhood school and students must apply to attend. However, we accept all students who meet the minimum requirements, which are conduct and attendance in middle school.

We are a wall to wall academy high school with five academies.

The Health Academy students are able to job shadow at neighboring health facilities while attending our school.

Students are able to graduate high school and earn an entry-level workplace certificate in a specific field of interest.

My Project

As we transition from online learning to the physical classroom, I will be need to provide gloves, masks, and cleaning supplies to my students to ensure that my classroom is a safe learning environment. My students will clean their desks between classes to ensure that safety is a priority for all students.

When students return in the fall, I will instruct everyone in the proper procedures necessary to make my classroom a safety zone.

Students will be provided the masks and gloves to properly clean and sanitize their desks and textbooks.
