Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The boys and girls are a great bunch of little scholars. Most are economically disadvantaged and lack many of the basics at home and at school. Many children have returned to learning in school. They are all trying to figure out how to deal with it all.

Some children are returning with gaps in reading.

The children are eager to learn and you guessed it, get back to hands-on learning. A computer is fine but sitting in front of it all day long to try and learn is not really too child friendly. They may be facing all sorts of challenges due to learning on-line but nothing can replace small group hands-on learning with their friends.

My Project

Many of my students that have been learning at home and on-line will be returning to in school instruction. Some will return with gaps in their learning due to a lack of small group instruction and hands-on learning.

Hands-on small group learning is needed to fill in the learning gaps.

The Hand2mind Literacy Versa Tiles is the perfect literacy kit to help the children get back on track with reading skills. The boys and girls need the Versa Tiles to manipulate and ease the mastery of reading. Anything that can be done to close the gaps in their learning is a must.

We can do this together. Your kind help will ensure the children have what is needed to master reading.
