Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students experience a lot of stress during the school day and in their personal lives. I want to create an oasis where students are surrounded by relaxing views of nature. I want them to be transported to another world and focus of the beauty of nature. This will help them to restore themselves and cope with the stress. Restorative practices includes a well designed environment that is motivating. The current layout of the school is not welcoming and looks like an industrial facility and not a school. The wall decor, tapestry, and curtains will give that touch that I am looking for. My students will absolutely love the set-up.
