This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If I could describe my classroom in five words, they would be: Determined, supportive, enthusiastic, encouraging and create to learn/create. With guidance, my students have ownership on their learning and everything that goes on in my classroom happens because of the love and passion my students and I bring to the room. Hearing things like "This is my safe haven", "I or "I feel the most like myself here" are one of the best comments a student can ever give to a teacher. I am extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to be these kids music teacher.
My Project
The Music Store is where student are able to cash in their rewards for awesome prizes. These prizes are earned throughout the week by completing all classroom, helping their classmates out, and going above and beyond what is expected in the classroom.
All of the items are related to music so that students can apply the skills they learn in class at home.
The materials in this project will help create a diversified learning experience for all of my students. By creating a reward system for my students this can help create a positive learning environment, target different approaches to music, help with different learning styles, and provide different ways to reward students for hard work and effort.
