My Students

My class is full of students who are eager, excited, and motivated to learn. I teach a first-grade gifted and talented class at a large public school in New York City. Right now there are twenty students due to COVID restrictions, but I expect thirty-two students in the coming year.

They are all amazing thinkers with diverse needs and a wide range of abilities.

They have a variety of interests and a love for learning. Their interests spread throughout all areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, and technology. They love learning through hands-on and interactive activities.

My Project

As we finish up our last couple months together, we need to restock some much needed supplies for our classroom.

Personal pencil sharpeners and new pencils will give my students a chance to take care of their pencils without sharing supplies.

We have a collection of very old personal dry erase boards now that no longer erase all of the marker. We need a brand new set that my students can use to practice spelling and phonics. Binder clips are very handy for holding first graders' writing together until they need to revise and moving pages around.
