My Students

Most of my students like to read. However, finding some of them a good book is very difficult. I want all my students have endless amount of choices for them that interest them, so that finding a good book is no longer difficult.

These students are amazing.

They are very bright and have great imaginations. Many of these students have developed a drive for reading, while some of students seem to lack that drive. By lacking that drive, they tend to have a harder time to develop the skills that make up a good reader.

My Project

I want to restock their library and provide them with a wider variety of books that interests not one student, but all my students. I want to reach those students who longer can find a good book and bring them back to the joy of reading. I want all the students to be able to read a book and relate to what is going on in the story and be able to develop a clear meaning of the story through details from their reading.

I remember growing up and hating to read.

I hated to read so much that I was two levels below my grade level. Until one day, I was able to choose a book that interested me. That was the day I found the joy of reading and quickly changed my reading level from below my grade level to above my grade level. And, that is all I want for these students. I want them to constantly be able to find a book that interests them and never lose that joy of reading and the skills that comes along with reading.
