My Project

Last year I was fortunate to have amazing donors fund personal care supplies and snacks for the students to use throughout the year. The students used these supplies daily in the classroom; even other students in our school would come to the classroom to get items they needed to stay clean and ready for the day! Whether it be a just a day where they forgot to put deodorant on, forgot breakfast, or caused by financial insecurity, hygeiene problems can be extremely embarrassing for students. This can cause a loss of focus on their learning and take a toll on students' confidence.

Every student deserves to have access to personal hygiene products.

I would like to restock "take what you need" station in the classroom for students to discreetly take personal supplies like deodorant, toothbrushes, feminine products, and other needs to maintain healthy hygiene. I want my classroom to feel like a safe and caring space for my students, and this is one step in showing my students that I care for their health and wellness, and takes one less worry off of them.
