Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a School Counselor my students' emotional well-being is of utmost importance. I've learned that often times when they are having BIG EMOTIONS an environmental shift can make an impact. I am hoping to set up a "Rest & Reset" space in my office to help them do just that. It's like an out of classroom calm corner!

A "Rest & Reset" space will be a safe space for them to regain control, rest, and breathe easy so that they can return to their classroom in a more regulated state.

The "Rest & Reset" space will provide a place to sit comfortably outside of their classroom/learning environment and practice coping strategies and breathing techniques.
