My Project

I am so excited to move from a SETSS out of classroom teacher, into a 12:1: classroom teacher for grades k, 1, 2. My new students are the most hard working, do good people who love to show off their skills and grow all day! My students are learning how to work together, how to make decisions, learn responsibility, help others and to be part of a team. I can not wait to use the job chart, to help them determine which jobs they enjoy the most, manage their emotions if they do not get the job of choice for the week, help others who may not have experience with the specific job they are given for the week, all while they work together to grow.

In addition, we are excited to use the magnetic people to count how many students are in school versus home, keep track of who goes to a service, and have the students learn more responsibility by moving their person upon entering and exiting the room.

We love using dot markers to learn. We hunt out the words that contain the phonics skill we are focused on or the image that matches the word we read!! Dot Markers ROCK!!
