Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of 30 dual language first graders. They are learning in Spanish and English every day. I get the privilege of teaching the English side of our program at a Title I school and I get to watch these incredible second language learners develop a new language and excel at it.

The majority of my students come from low income households and don't often have all the resources they need to succeed.

At school, we try to create a space of support and safety and provide all the resources they could need.

My students are becoming super readers every day, and it brings me so much joy watching as they discover this entire new world of adventure. Early literacy will be a big focus for us this year, and I can't wait to see the growth these incredible students make.

My Project

As a teacher in a Title I school, one thing we are always needing are resources to make our learning engaging and relevant. Teachers Pay Teachers is a website where teacher created resources can be purchased to supplement our lessons and curriculum.

This project would provide the resources we need in English and in Spanish to help support our learning!

Giving to this project will go directly towards the learning and growth of my students. They will enjoy new learning centers, games and activities to making learning fun and exciting!
