Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, artistic, energetic students from different backgrounds, ethnicities, and socioeconomic status. They are between the ages of 6 and 8. Many times 75% to 85% of my students are on free or reduced-price lunch.

My classroom has a mixture of students from ESE to Gifted to ESOL.

My English as a Second Language Learners are between Levels 1-4, and my many of my ESE students have a variety of learning accommodations and although sometimes struggle, they never give up and every one of them is full of potential and eager to learn! It's my job to ensure that they have all the tools they need to succeed!

My Project

My project is for a gift card to teacherspayteachers so we have access to many different resources both printable and digital for every subject. These resources are created by teachers who know the best way to motivate, engage and teach the students. Since this school year is very different due to distance learning and COVID 19, having the gift card to be able to access resources throughout the year based on our needs will be very beneficial. I also included a class set of fidget bands for each student's chair. Using chair bands for ADHD, ADD, Autism, SPD or other sensory needs can help improve the learning experience in classrooms or at home while sitting and help alleviate any anxiety that all of us may be dealing with this year. These will help the students focus and learn.
