This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As we move into a new school year, I would love students to have a library filled with incredible books. My amazing 9th and 10th graders will benefit from various books to help support their reading growth and build their confidence in reading. Expanding these fantastic students' access to young adult literature engages and empowers them to be stronger readers, more critical thinkers, and more efficient communicators. Broadening the classroom library to include more titles that are geared to their age and reading levels. Adding nonfiction that intrigues their curiosity and incentives to celebrate weekly reading growth.
