Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are eager to learn, excited to explore, and ready to get this year started! For many of my students this will be their first experience with virtual learning. We are ready to be brave and give it our all. We are in this unique learning experience together and will make the best of it!

Many of my students and their families express concerns with completing additional practice and learning at home simply because of the lack of resources and supplies.

Many of my students come from lower income families who may not be able to provide their students with additional resources needed for virtual learning.

Kindergarten is such an exciting year for my students. This is the foundation. Despite the challenges thrown our way, these children love to learn! We do lots of hands on activities, group work, and differentiated instruction based on our individual needs. We focus on social skills, communication, and academics. As we embark on our virtual learning journey, I want to provide my students with additional resources and supplies to help make the most out of this experience!

My Project

These materials will help provide my students and families with additional supplies and resources to use at home while we navigate through this new virtual learning experience together. I chose basic supplies and workbooks that focus on core subjects taught in Kindergarten. These materials were purposefully chosen and will be used as additional practice to aid in quality instruction.

It is my goal to build relationships, encourage, teach, and support my students every step of the way as we embark on this new adventure together.
