Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, creative and excited to learn. Although we are starting out the year virtually, I feel like their personalities, strengths and smiles jump through the screen each day. I love that they show up every day! I love that they share their smiles with me. Although they are apart, they still care about one another. I hear them chatting and asking each other questions when they think I am not paying attention. I can see their kind hearts. It has been a challenge to find ways to connect, since we are not in the same room together, but to see how hard they are working every day makes my heart so happy! The other day, one of them surprised me by saying how happy they were to see me, and it made my day!

I am so lucky to get to work with these kind, bright and funny kiddos, and can’t wait for the day we are together in the same room, learning and sharing.

My Project

I would love to give my students a colorful and creative remote learning experience. I would love to motivate them to be their best in class, using digitally created resources from Teachers Pay Teachers for our Google Classroom. There are so many resources I can’t wait to use! If I had a new device to connect to our remote sessions and share content with them, the entire experience would run so smoothly. It is a challenge, and having tools to use would be amazing! Help me give my second graders a great Second Grade Experience! Our remote learning will be something they never forget; help me make it the best possible!
