Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom come from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. My students are on the autism spectrum and each face their own challenges, however, they each have their own strengths and abilities! My students are 3 and 4 years old and for many, this is their first school experience! My students require visual supports to get them through their school day. Being at home, parents are left without these resources.

I have the most amazing students in my class!

They deserve to continue to learn and to continue to work on the IEP goals while they are home. It’s so important we continue to address their needs while they are not in the classroom!

My Project

My students and I have been learning to navigate this new normal! Before we left school in March, I was able to create packets and some supports to get through until we returned at the end of April. Unfortunately, we have not been able to return. I have not been able to return to my classroom to grab more resources. I am seeking ways to be able to purchase activities, worksheets, visual supports and other resources to help my students and their families.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an amazing website that has tons of resources for students!

The resources are created by teachers and bought by other supportive teachers! I am requesting gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers to help me provide resources to my students while they are home. The best part about Teachers Pay Teachers is that whatever resource I purchase, it's mine so I will be able to use for years to come! These resources will allow me to differentiate instruction for each student to help meet their current IEP goals. Help me help my students and their families continue education while they are at home!
