My Students

Help us explore the world! My students are always full of questions when we begin a new unit. An interactive encyclopedia and reference suite will allow my students to research the answers to their questions. It will also give them valuable experience using research tools.

I teach sixth and seventh grade students in a low income area of Mississippi.

Our school is classified as a Title 1 school where most of our students receive free lunch. Most of my students have never used any kind of research materials. In order to allow them to have the skills and knowledge needed to be successful, I hope to help provide them with additional materials for the classroom.

My Project

The interactive encyclopedia will be used in conjunction with an older set of encyclopedias that was donated to my classroom. We will use them to research questions and work on projects. I want my students to know that there are other sources that equipped and other research tools besides Google.

It will allow my students to have the opportunity to explore the world and experience something outside their immediate surroundings.

These materials will also allow my students to gain knowledge of research tools.
