Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in High School in grades nine through twelve. All of my students come from impoverished communities but they work really hard to achieve what they want despite all the challenges, adversities, and traumas they have experienced. Most of my students are behind in credits and need to take credit recovery classes to complete their graduation requirements. This Laptop will help my students to research future goals when they enter my office.

When I call students into my office, sometimes they have to wait for me to complete my conference with other students and parents.

While I am conferencing with others, my students can be using the laptop to research questions that I will have ready for them. This can be one or multiple questions regarding their life goals. For example, they can research a career they want to pursue after high school. This will be the first thing we will talk about when we meet. My students are motivated when they talk about their future goals.
