My Project

I teach in a very small rural K-8 school without a certified librarian on staff. I pride myself on making sure my students have access to quality literature for whole-class instruction as well as independent reading.

I am fortunate to have a separate class dedicated just to reading.

This enables me to do a lot of novel studies throughout the year.

I am always looking for novels with more diverse characters to ensure all of my students feel represented in what we are reading throughout the year. This project being funded would help me achieve that goal.
