My Students

My first-grade students are inquisitive and enjoy learning. My school is located in an urban neighborhood. The majority of my students lie in low-income housing. Almost all of my children are African-American or Hispanic English language learners who have limited exposure to English. Most of my students crave to engage in active learning. I have gained a strong interest in the activities that my students. Many of them are unable to fulfill tasks that bridge the home to school connections because of the work schedules of their parents. In addition to being hard workers, my students are very well mannered and appreciative. In my classroom, I aspire to cultivate an environment of excellence.

I want my students to understand that they are tomorrow's future.

To do this, I know that I must differentiate instruction to ensure engagement and student discourse. I want to expose all of my students to all aspects of the world by giving them educational access to resources that are normally limited.

My students demonstrate daily that they are learners that are open to challenges. I want to continue to push them to think outside of the norm.

My Project

Each and every person has different needs to create a spark for knowledge. I want to be able to give my students options and meet every need during my lessons. I want each and every child to feel involved and understood. Learning should be a time of exploration. With these reading and writing materials, I can ensure that my students will have plenty of materials to practice in this difficult time. This practice will help develop reading and writing skills for their academic career.

I would like the opportunity to support the needs of my students and expose them to opportunities during distance learning to have a promising educational future.

I utilize reading and writing daily in my classroom for instructional time. My students will utilize these mouse pads, books, and pencil grips daily. Using the hand sanitizer dispenser will help improve and reinforce the cleanliness between the students and other visitors. The fidget cubes are for the students to use in times of restlessness. It will give them something calm them while staying proactive and productive. The wireless keyboard and mouse will allow me to be mobile and see my room from various vantage points to assist the students.
