Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We greet each other every morning with a "Hola!" or a "Como estas?" My kindergarten classroom is simple and bare but full of fun. Learning in another language can be tricky but very rewarding. I am fortunate enough to be able to give my students a chance at bilingual education.

We are from a small town.

We are a close community. My classroom is comprised of half native Spanish speakers and half native English speakers. We communicate solely in Spanish. We are a unique school with a common goal: making students bilingual and bi-literate.

My Project

With an increase in class sizes, I need to be creative in finding ways to engage, create, display and store student work in my classroom portable. Printer ink is used to print out non fictional pictures to show students real life examples of animals and objects.

My students will be able to house familiar reading books in the book boxes and crayons in the snack containers.

It is important to teach students to be organized and have tools readily available to them to maximize instructional minutes, class time, and make the best use of a portable for 28 dual immersion kindergarten students.
