My Students

Middletown Elementary School (MES) students are curious compassionate citizens of the world, who set big reading goals for themselves! Our students are strong readers and enter the library every day with excited eyes and eager hearts to find the next adventure.

When my students read many of the new titles I have noticed that they learn about themselves and explore different worlds of reality and imagination with greater focus and reading perseverance.

At MES, you can overhear students talking to their peers about what is going on with their favorite characters and series of books to help this process greatly. Thank you for helping us to keep the conversations going and to inspire readers for life!

My Project

The Middletown Elementary School library is an amazing space located in Maryland. My belief that the library is the heart of the school is truly fitting as this space is located in the center of the school. Anyone who enters the school through the front door will head past the library. With three entrances to our spacious library, you can always see students and staff coming and going. The space is wide open with many different areas that invite students to be comfortable, choose a familiar favorite or discover a new book and READ. Thank you for making this possible.

The Replacing MES "Well Loved Books" project is simple - replace books that are torn, tattered, stained and falling apart.

The books are being replaced because they've been enjoyed for many years. From Harry Potter to Dog Man to Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys, these well-loved books will be replaced with new copies to they can continue to be loved once again!
