This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in East Harlem, NYC. My school, Park East, had some of the highest success rates of any school in Manhatten because of our effective and supportive shift to remote learning. Even with schools opening up online work is still a major componet of the school curriculum.

My Project

I have been using the same school issued laptop for almost 5 years. Its on it last legs and making lesson planning difficult.Its slow, damaged, and lacks the proformance ability to run larger programs. It also has minimum storage for gathering and storing resources and everytime I want to download a new program i am forced to delete older materials to make room. With a new computer, lesson planning, communication and multimedia projects will be easier to construct and implement. Quite simply my laptop is old and with a new one I can do my job easier. Please help me support my students with a modern and efficient laptop.
