My Students

At the front of my classroom is the quote, "Exceed Expectations!" I always encourage my students to go beyond what is expected of them and strive to always work harder, practice more, be better, and to go beyond what teachers, parents, coaches, and friends expect out of them. My class is a diverse group of curious, active, and determined students.

I strive to create a happy and comfortable classroom where children can enjoy learning and each other.

My students aspire to do their best in school and they are very interested in technology. I enjoy placing technology in their hands so they can use it in many ways on a daily basis. Our school qualifies as a moderate poverty school.

My Project

The use of a whiteboard projector is important with all the new teaching initiatives in our district. My classroom has been set up for many years to use the classroom projector as a way to deliver lessons, show student work, watch educational videos, and for many other purposes. It is used daily to model math instruction, show videos related to science and social studies content, to project lessons, play interactive games, and to demonstrate strategies, and work samples that the entire class can see. I can't imagine teaching anymore without a projector, but with a broken projector in my classroom, I am finding out that the reality of doing so is that my students are no longer getting the best instruction.

With a new working projector, my students will once again be able to see and learn together the way that they are used to and in a way that works best for them.

I look forward to returning my classroom back to the 21st century with a new projector.
