Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a National Board Teacher since 2005. I have gone through the journey of committing myself to be a life-long learner. As a life-long learner, I have researched the best practices and used those in my classroom instruction. As an NBCT teacher, my district offers opportunities to grow in various instructional areas such as reading development in the science of reading. I have used the science of reading to improve reading instruction improving student data in reading fluency when measured by district assessments.

As a National Board teacher, one's path is ongoing.

Therefore, I am seeking to maintain my National Board certification for another five years. The donations will be going to pay for the fees involved in embarking on the re-certification journey.
