This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year, my students are fully remote. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. My special education students learn best through hands-on activities and in small groups, which they love! Regardless of these challenges, they still come online every morning eager and ready to learn! Although I may not be able to control their home life, I can definitely control their experience during the day!
My students continue to inspire me to do more to help them reach their potential!
My Project
Lately I have noticed that my students are lacking supplies at home. I want to create at home learning kids for each student to remind them their hard work never goes unnoticed! In order to keep learning fun and to keep our students engaged, I am asking for basic supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, and dry erase boards. I am also requesting construction paper, glue, and scissors so students can create art projects during "recess" time. Unfortunately, my students do not have art class when they are home. My students will use these supplies each day during remote learning.
My students have been faced with many challenges and obstacles.
I know this at home learning kit would be such a treat for them!
