This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My co-teacher and I work to educate, motivate, and inspire 6th graders in the South Bronx. Our students are a part of a school, neighborhood, and borough that has a history of being neglected. In recent years there has been a productive shift in leadership that has worked to put our students first and view them through an equal lens in understanding that they possess the same capacity of potential as other students in different geographical locations.

My Project

Our students will be engaging in either fully remote learning or blended learning that still requires them to work from home when they are not physically in the school building. Students will utilize white boards to help make their thinking visible in all subject areas. The printer ink will help to print out physical copies of resources that are not yet available digitally in order to send home with students. The printer ink will also be use to print out differentiated materials for students that may benefit from a physical copy of a resource in addition to its electronic counterpart.
