Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title One and Title Three school within the New York City Department of Education.

My kindergarten students, like so many others during this difficult time, are facing great challenges.

They do not have the technology needed in order to continue their education during this remote learning period. My students are predominantly English Language Learners and Students with Special Needs. During this critical time in their education and development, they are in great need of early literacy and math skills. Because of this, and the current situation we are all facing, it is with much humility that I am requesting four iPads.

My Project

My students need four iPads in order to access daily lessons and activities. With these materials, I will be able to bring my "classroom" into my students' homes. Having access to these iPads would allow me to instruct my students as closely as possible to how I would in our classroom. Students will greatly benefit from the use of iPads by continuing to develop their early math and literacy skills.

Please help our class acquire the resources they need to continue their learning.
