My Students

I have a classroom of 5 amazing students who all are diagnosed with ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder. These students are used to getting highly structured , individualized one-on-one support throughout the day. Due to the coronavirus pandemic students have been forced to learn remotely with very few resources.

My Project

My students are kinesthetic and tactile learners. They are used to hands on experiences and using manipulatives to support their learning. They are now forced to learn through a screen and parents are forced to improvise with the materials they have at home.These materials will help my students step away from the screens to learn in a way they are accustomed to.

These materials can help support my students retain previously taught skills as well as learn new skills and help foster their independent working skills.

My students will not only benefit from these materials for the rest of the school year, but during the summer as well!
