My Students

My students are hard-working but come from low-income families. They enjoy many hands-on projects, and are always enthusiastic about science! When we have the materials to do experiments, they are so excited and learn a lot.

We have a lot of out-of-the-box thinking going on in our science room.

Science gives the students so many opportunities to think at a higher level. The more supplies we have, the more STEAM activities we do!

Since we have been learning remotely, having a new computer would make lesson planning, and teaching more seamless.

My Project

I am currently teaching Grades 3-5 both remotely and in-person. The laptop being used is outdated, slow, and unreliable. With better technology, my students' learning experience will be enhanced by having more creative lessons. The students will be able to use more updated apps, like JamBoard, Nearpod, and videos to create interactive lessons.

Since I teach science, as well as other core subjects, I am expecting newer technology to help.

I won't spend valuable time preparing lessons that will be unable to run on old laptops. My students will appreciate it.
