My Students

Our students live in NYC and come from a variety of backgrounds. During blended learning, many families are in need of a place for their child to do their schoolwork on days they aren't in school.

Our wonderful afterschool program has opened a Remote Learning Lab where students can go during the day to work on their schoolwork.

The program has many materials available to students but has never needed a printer before. This project will give a printer to our Remote Learning Lab so students can print their learning materials as needed during the day.

My Project

Our school's after school program has opened a Remote Learning Lab for students who need supervision during the day on days they are not in school. The lab has up to 30 students a day with at least half of the seats reserved for those families who live in public or temporary housing, are essential workers or who meet the federal income guidelines for free lunch. These students are able to attend the lab for free. Other families are also able to sign up their child to be at the lab for the day.

Currently, the Remote Learning Lab doesn't have a printer so students must print their materials at home or use them solely online.

This printer will allow the Lab to print items students need for their schoolwork.
