My Students

My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all over the globe. They bring a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences and culture to our school. We are a Title I school in a low-income community; I have twenty-six students in my classroom. Free breakfast and free lunch are available to every child in our building each day, which are now remotely served.

My Project

My Students would benefit from a variety of basic classroom supplies to help increase their success in our newly established distance remote learning platform. Since the school closed without notice on March 16th due to Covid-19, most of my students do not have time to bring home their school books and supplies from their desks and classroom. My amazing students have been working incredibly hard using the assignments that I have given them with Google Classroom, IXL, and Pearson Realize. They can use these amazing tools with their remote learning experiences.
