My Students

I have a group of exciting seventh graders this year. As we are all faced with COVID-19, teaching and learning look different this year. However, my students are still eager to learn and master the different math concepts they are being taught.

My Project

Keeping kids engaged and motivated over remote learning can be a challenge. I will be starting a competition in each of my classes to encourage perfect attendance, perfect work turn in, and daily participation. Each Friday, students' total tally will be used to determine how many times their names are added to the wheel. The student whose name is selected will receive a mystery mail from me through the mail or personal delivery.

These materials are things they can use for remote instruction, snacks, notebooks to write in or things that will benefit their social emotional side; sometimes we just need a little pick me up to know someone is thinking of us or that we’re doing a good job.
