Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is an elementary school located in the South Bronx and we serve an average of 500 students from Pre-K to 5th grade. We are a title one school and our students strive to be the best they could while fighting poverty and diversity. Unfortunately, some of our students live in shelters near our school and can not afford to purchase any school supplies, a privilege that many of us take for granted. As well, this year will be a huge struggle for us all during this pandemic.

My students are hungry to learn and determined to achieve new skills.

However, they can not achieve these skills without basic school supplies. My job is to continue to guide them on this new school and educational adventures. In addition, provide them with the resources they need, but I can not do it my own. Help me feed their knowledge with things they need.

My Project

My students will be working for home this school year. Therefore, they would need access to workbooks and supplies just as if they were in the school building.

I will be creating a care package for all of my students.

It will have all of the supplies they would need, as well as their required school books. The bag will help them carry the necessary items around as they are able to remotely learn anywhere around the world. In addition, the headphones will help them stay focus and not become distracted from noises around them.
