This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am continually inspired by my students' resilience, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. Each day, they bring a unique energy to the classroom, and their diverse perspectives enrich our learning environment. The sensory bands and desk chair feet will significantly enhance my students' ability to concentrate and stay engaged during lessons. Sensory bands provide a subtle outlet for fidgeting, allowing students to channel their energy in a non-disruptive way. Desk chair feet help reduce noise and create a more stable seating arrangement, which can be particularly beneficial for students who struggle with anxiety or stress. Together, these tools will create a more focused and calm learning environment, enabling all students to participate more fully and effectively.

My primary goal is to create a classroom atmosphere where every student feels comfortable and supported.

By providing sensory bands and desk chair feet, I aim to reduce distractions and anxiety, thereby improving overall concentration and academic performance. I hope to see my students more engaged, less stressed, and better able to achieve their full potential. What makes my students special is their incredible diversity and the unique strengths each one brings to our classroom. They are a group of bright, enthusiastic learners who are always willing to support one another. Their ability to adapt and thrive, even in challenging circumstances, is truly remarkable.
