Most of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes and eat free or reduced-price school lunch meals on a daily basis. I know music education is helping my students become better human beings and well-rounded citizens of our country. Music is also improving their test scores on state-mandated tests.
My students love the band very much; so much, that the band hall is their second home.
Not just their second home, but also their second family. They are always looking out for each other in any way possible. Regardless of any differences, my band students come together and make incredible music! They work hard, show true dedication, they collaborate and have been successful year after year. They know that it is an honor to be a musician in our band program, and they take it very seriously. So, even though we may not have the best equipment for learning music, they will always try their best. My band students inspire me each and every day with their tenacity, drive, and passion for music. I am truly lucky to be their band director.
My Project
When was the last time you attended a Friday night high school football game? Do you remember seeing the marching band using an amplification system? High school bands use these systems to project certain instruments during performances including the percussion front ensemble and instrumental soloists. The items we are requesting will help us safely transport our very heavy speakers.
We have been using green Walmart wagons to transport our speakers which tend to fall apart after a few uses, this is definitely not safe and very unreliable.
These rugged rolling carts each hold a subwoofer speaker and a main speaker stack. The top shelf is adjustable to accommodate various environments for any speaker size. The best part about these carts are the rugged flat-free wheels with stop locks. This is the safest most reliable setup on the market today.
These carts make marching band performances a breeze. With your help, my students will be able to simply focus on their performance and not whether their equipment will break or not easily be transported. We truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
