My Students

My kindergarteners are brand new to elementary school! This year is an exciting time for my students to learn to read, write, count, add, work with others, and so much more!! It is a year full of growth and fun!

Kindergarteners come to school with excitement and an immense readiness to learn!

I want to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all of them. I can't wait to see all they accomplish this year and hope they finish the year with a love for learning.

My Project

Daily read alouds are many of my students' favorite part of the day! They love hearing new stories and getting to know new characters. During read alouds, students eyes are glued on the book and actively engaged in discussing the story. I want to provide my students with more stories to read during read-aloud time.

My class is composed of students from diverse backgrounds.

I want to provide them with books that have characters that look like them and reflect their backgrounds. Students love reading and I want to continue building that with relevant books they can connect with.
