My Project

Hello, I am a first-year teacher in a primary Montessori classroom. I have noticed my students are loving the reading corner we have in our classroom.

A reading corner is a special place where children's can read books; where they can calm their bodies.

My students are 2-4-year old's the reading corner is a place they can work through their emotions and using a book by reading it with a teacher, looking at the pages or just sitting in a comfy chair can help them reset their body and emotions. I am really in need of a nice chair for our reading corner. The chair I picked is big enough that a child can cuddle up in it if needed but we can also but a small little throw pillow to make it comfortable for them. I do not have many books in my classroom and the books I do have are books very well loved and are falling apart.
