Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a guidance counselor at a Title I school, which means many of our students struggIe to have what they need on a day-to-day basis. Many students in my school come from immigrant families that have a low income. On top of that, many of our students are new to the U.S., acclimating to a new environment and language. I chose fidget, weighted plush toys, and snacks to offer comfort to the students that are in school coping with anxiety and hunger. They will be able to have their fidget toys in the classroom. The weighted plush toys will be available to them when needed.

Snacks and toys are always welcome: students are excited and grateful when they are hungry and I am able to offer a variety of treats.

I ordered bars and other healthy snacks to keep them on the right track.

By donating to my project, you will help improve and increase student focus, which in turn will help students achieve success academically and emotionally!
