My Project

My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn, but many experience sensory sensitivities that impact their ability to focus, self-regulate, and engage in learning. These challenges, often associated with autism and other neurodivergent needs, make traditional classroom settings overwhelming.

Sensory toys for autistic and neurodivergent students are designed to stimulate their five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste.

I am requesting sensory tools such as fidget toys, textured tiles, wobble cushions, and a soft carpet to create a calming and supportive learning space. These materials will help my students manage sensory input, develop self-regulation skills, and feel more comfortable in the classroom.

By providing these resources, my students will have a safe space to relax, reset, and refocus, allowing them to fully participate in their education. These tools will promote independence, social interaction, and overall well-being, essential for students with disabilities.
