My Project

Most of my students receive free lunch, because their parent or guardian has an income below the state poverty level. Some students have difficulties coping with stressors at home and at school. These students come to my class often, before school, during lunch, and after school. I continue to provide a calm place for them.

I want the students in my classes will be reassured that they are in a safe space.

My classes will use recliners and essential oils in our designated Relaxation Station to decompress and relax, if only for minutes at a time. Students who are not on my rosters know that they can ask me for whatever they need also. If I have it, then they can get it. Therefore, my classes will continue to be known as an area to feel safer.
