My Project

I'm trying to get some math manipulatives for my students. We need to use rekenreks for counting almost daily. Students can easily see the numbers increasing and decreasing with rekenreks. We will use these when we are adding, subtracting, solving word problems, and finding missing addends. They will be helpful in small groups, whole groups, and math workstations. These will be so helpful in our classroom for many years to come.

One of the best things about rekenreks is that students can't accidentally drop or misplace the individual pieces.

They stay together so there are fewer mistakes. They are the perfect manipulatives to use for counting. These tools will help my students to be better math students every day.
