My Students

The students at my school are amazing. I know you probably hear or read this a lot, but seriously, my students are phenomenal. They attend a K-12 public school in the middle of New York City and are always ready to learn!

Our students are creative, innovative, and full of life, but this is only part of what makes them so phenomenal.

They are eager to learn not only their subjects in school, but they also want to know more about the world around them.

My Project

It might seems silly that we have a project dedicated to celebrating rejection but I can not tell you have important this is. In our classroom acceptances and rejections from colleges are celebrated.

It is our mission to not only celebrate rejection but to also normalize it.

As adults we know that this happens, it is just a part of life. But for many of our students this is their first time being rejected from something. This toys and snacks will be placed into our rejection bag. As students bring in their scholarship and college rejection letters, we will tack them to the wall (so they can see they are not alone) and then they will get to pick a fun prize!
