Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a NYC public school in an urban and economically disadvantaged area, our students do not have access to high-quality recess. It is essential that we provide our students with more engaging and stimulating activities during recess to improve their overall well-being and academic success.

This project will allow grade 2 to reimage their recess experience with models of their perfect recess experience.

Students will be working together to develop a solution for a problem we found at our school - there are no quality activities for our students to do at recess. In our study, we will propose a solution to this problem. We will use these arts and crafts materials to create prototypes for our newly imagined recess. We need LEGOS, chenille craft sticks, and modeling clay.
