Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students I serve all attend a school that is in a homeless shelter. They are 4 and 5 years-old and are 60% Hispanic and 40% African-American. Their parents are living in the shelter with them, or they are in temporary government housing. The best part of their day is in school were they spend time with their friends, receive an education, and have two free meals a day with a snack.

Hydration is a key factor in keeping the brain working properly, and my students are in great need of supplemental hydration daily.

Please assist my students by providing bottles of water to my food pantry that can be accessed throughout the school day! I even send them home with light, health snacks and water bottles to ensure that nutritional needs are being met.
