My Students

Imagine the worst, watching your child play a soccer game with his/her team. Suddenly, your child collapses, is unconscious and everyone is standing around. However, at this game a Venice High School Sports Medicine student is there to help.

My students are the solution to every parent's worst nightmare.

The students of our high school sports medicine program are pursuing their dreams to help others. They will be ready to save lives. These students learn emergency preparedness, first aid, CPR, evaluation and rehabilitation protocols.

My Project

As students in the Sports Medicine Academy it is imperative to understand and demonstrate rehabilitation techniques. They learn to assist the athletes with all their exercises.

When injured student-athletes are cleared to come back to school, the students on the Sports Medicine Academy assist them with rehabilitation protocols.

The students are learning that hand strength and shoulder strength have a direct connection.

The resistance bands, hand grips and hand extensors will be used on a daily basis. The knee pads allow the students to add another level of difficulty with the rehabilitation as they help teach the athletes to engage core muscles while completing strength exercises.
